Five books that will empower and inspire you

Throughout my life, I have read many books that have helped me cope with unpleasant circumstances. Through these books, I have learned how to love myself and be happy, regardless of what is transpiring in my life. These five books have opened windows of self-discovery for me that I will never close. It is my hope that they will also be helpful to you.

Karen Salmansohn’s “Instant Happy”. A dear friend gave me this book for my 50th birthday. I couldn’t put it down the morning after my birthday celebration. There are many inspiring, loving, and optimistic passages in the book. Each gives you hope and true knowledge about how to live a fulfilling life.

SARK’s “Succulent Wild Woman” is an oldie but goodie. With funny handwriting and drawings, this book will enlighten you and inspire you to embrace new beginnings by letting go of the past.

Christine Arylo’s “Madly in Love with Me.”. In this book, you will learn how to become your best friend. She challenges women to realize that the most important relationship to nurture is the one with themselves.

Lucy Danziger’s “The Nine Rooms of Happiness.” In this book, a metaphorical house is used to describe areas in our emotional lives that need to be cleaned up. This book is wittily written, and offers a unique perspective on how to handle “every room of your emotional house.”

The book “Staying on the Path” by Wayne Dyer is one of my favorites. This book is filled with inspirational quotes and observations that are sure to inspire you and challenge your negative thinking. If you want to use this book effectively, I recommend reading it all at once and keeping it near your nightstand so you can read a quote every night before you go to sleep. Your sleep will be better, and you’ll be ready to face the day’s challenges when you wake up.
