Solo Trip to Orlando, Florida

Whenever my husband attends a sales conference, I accompany him. The conference was held in Orlando, Florida this year. We stayed near Disney theme parks. Before he attends conferences, we usually spend a couple of days together.

Our first day in the hotel was spent relaxing in our room since my husband had meetings that day. We headed out to dinner in the evening and found a super cool tapas restaurant called Cafe Tu Tu Tango. The restaurant features live entertainment, artists working on their pieces (that are sold in-house), and a Tarot card reader!

On the next day, I worked out at the hotel gym and then we spent the afternoon at the pool. Since Colorado only has a few weeks of non-winter season, we don’t have much chance to lounge by a pool.

My husband went to his conference the next morning, so I decided to check out the Vinland Premium Outlets. That place was huge and there were great sales. After buying two sneakers I don’t need, I headed to Disney Springs. An outdoor mall with shops, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. Despite being a fantastic place to shop and wander around in, I gave up after a while and returned to the hotel. My husband surprised me with a delicious dessert when he returned from the conference.

My next two days were completely solo, so I decided to check out some thrift stores. Since I found them to be quite far apart, I only visited one. Though the Goodwill I visited was good, I found the prices higher than in Colorado. After that, I headed back to the hotel, changed into my swimsuit, and relaxed by the pool all day. A lazy pool at this hotel allows you to escape into a deep state of relaxation as waterfalls surround you, cooling your body and mind. Afterward, I ate dinner at Bahama Breeze, which wasn’t my favorite but had a large patio that made up for it.

On my last night, I decided to go back to Cafe Tu Tu Tango Tapas to enjoy the food once more and possibly get a tarot reading. Although I didn’t, I still had a blast.

It can be intimidating to travel alone, but it won’t be such a big deal once you do it. The solo adventures I’ve enjoyed so far have been delightful, and I can’t wait for the next one. Never be afraid to venture out on your own. The process isn’t as scary as it seems.
