I’ve always wanted to try golfing. When my husband and I began looking for activities we could enjoy together, golf felt like a natural choice and it turned out to be a great one. We signed up for several weeks of lessons and started scheduling tee times every other weekend. At first, the game felt daunting and even a little overwhelming. But after a few classes and plenty of weekend practice, we can honestly say it was a worthwhile investment.
Golf has given us a unique way to connect. We spend uninterrupted one-on-one time on the course, soak up the sunshine, get exercise, and learn to work together as teammates. Sharing a hobby has allowed us to bond, unwind, and support each other in a whole new way.
Through golf, we’ve also met other couples who share our growing love for the sport. It’s even inspired new vacation ideas, this Christmas, we’re planning a romantic golf getaway somewhere in the Caribbean.
Spending time outdoors with my husband has become one of my favorite ways to enjoy quality time together. I encourage couples to try golf or any shared activity that gets you moving and learning together. You may discover, as we did, a new and exciting level of connection and intimacy along the way.
