I’ve tried countless makeup-removing products over the years, and many of them never made it into a second purchase. Most cleansing wipes have fragrances that are far too strong for me, leave an oily residue even after rinsing, or simply fail to remove all my makeup effectively. After plenty of trial and error, I can finally say I’ve found three makeup-removal options I will continue to repurchase again and again.
For the Face: Olay 4-in-1 Daily Facial Cloths
These cleansing cloths have become a staple in my routine. Each pack contains about 33 cloths and typically costs around $6. While some may find them pricier than a liquid cleanser, I find them well worth it, especially since they eliminate the need for a second product to remove leftover makeup.
Once wet, each cloth creates enough lather to cleanse your entire face, neck, and décolleté. They cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize, leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Best of all, they don’t irritate my eyes, allowing me to gently scrub away even the most stubborn mascara. In fact, you don’t even need a separate eye makeup remover if you use these.
For the Eyes: Jojoba Oil or Coconut Oil
If you already have a facial cleanser you love, jojoba oil or coconut oil makes an excellent alternative for removing eye makeup. Both oils dissolve makeup effortlessly and offer added anti-aging benefits. Coconut oil, in particular, is known to support lash and eyebrow growth, an added bonus.
The only downside compared to the Olay cleansing cloths is that you’ll need a second cleanser to remove the oil residue. Still, for gentle and effective eye makeup removal, these natural options are hard to beat.
