Thanksgiving 2015 was the worst Thanksgiving of my life. A serious car accident involving two of my sons resulted in severe injuries to my youngest. Thankfully, despite some bumps and bruises, my eldest recovered quickly.
Six months after the accident, my youngest’s health has improved significantly. More details about that difficult time can be found in my blog post, “A Thankless Thanksgiving.”
The first six weeks following the accident were emotionally overwhelming. Some days I felt angry and resentful; other days I felt hopeful and grateful as I watched my son make progress. In the beginning, he required 24-hour care, which left little time or energy for anything else. My focus was entirely on helping him heal, and as a result, I wasn’t able to post much on my blog. My creativity felt stifled during that period.
Now, as I slowly return to writing. The goal would be to create content that informs, enlightens, and educates.
If you have any thoughts, comments, or feedback, I would love to hear from you.
