Organize your life

Being in a hurry has become a big part of our daily lives almost as much as sleeping, eating, and brushing our teeth. I can’t help but wonder if we’ve just gotten in a habit of over- committing for fear of saying no, or do we simply don’t know how to manage time? Preparing in advance for the day, week, or month is not as hard as you might think. It’s really a matter of self-discipline. After you see how much more you’ll be able to accomplish, you might realize this might be worth the trouble.

No prioritizing tasks can drain a tremendous amount of time out of your day. When you develop a plan, you know exactly where to go, what to do, who to meet. Organizing can be as easy as keeping time planner or travel journal on your smartphone app. Become your own personal secretary!

Keeping a small pocket planner with you (paper or electronic) to record appointments, errands, and activities, will help you keep track of time, avoid over-committing, running late and missing appointments. It can also help prioritize or shift things around that you just can’t get to.

When you visualize all the things you need to accomplish during the day, you have more control over dividing your time more efficiently. Also, being able to cross items off as you go, will give you a greater sense of accomplishment.

So go ahead, write things down. You’ll be amazed as how much more you’ll get done and best of all, you’ll be able to relax!
