If you’re looking for a hike that feels a little more like an adventure than a walk in the park, check out Bootlegger’s Loop at Lost Canyon Ranch Open Space.
This beautiful roughly 3-mile outing winds through forest, along Willow Creek, past dramatic canyon walls and rock formations, and over some fun rocky sections. There are steep grades, uneven terrain, rock steps and a few spots that require a little extra attention, so I’d call it moderate rather than an easy stroll. It’s not ADA-accessible terrain, but it’s very doable for hikers who are comfortable with natural, uneven trails.
And honestly, the best part may not be the workout at all. 🌿
There is something incredibly therapeutic about stepping away from the noise of everyday life and putting one foot in front of the other surrounded by trees, rocks, birds and fresh air. Your mind gets quieter. Your body settles down. You breathe a little deeper.
Sometimes nature doesn’t solve anything — it simply gives you enough peace and perspective to remember that you can handle whatever comes next. ❤️
