Three years ago, I lost my mother suddenly and unexpectedly. The loss was profound, and it forever changed the way I look at time.
Like many of us, I assumed there would be more of it—more visits, more conversations, more mornings spent together. But life has a way of reminding us that time is never promised. We often spend our days planning for tomorrow, focusing on what’s next, when in reality, all we truly have is today.
If I could have one more moment, I would spend it sitting with her on the balcony, listening to her stories, bringing her morning coffee, and simply enjoying her presence. I would notice every detail—the smile that made me feel at home and the lines on her face that reflected a life filled with strength, sacrifice, resilience, and love.
Today, I celebrate you, Mom. Not with sadness alone, but with gratitude for the years, memories, and lessons you gave me. Your love continues to guide me, and your presence remains woven into the foundation of my life in ways both big and small.
One of the greatest gifts you gave me was the reminder to find joy and happiness, and I promise to keep honoring that gift. I will continue to live fully, appreciate the moments that matter, and cherish the people I love.
I miss you every day, but I carry you with me always.
Love you, Mom. ❤️
