Best sales online and in-store year-round

We all love a good bargain but have not the time to search for them. Here are a few yearly sales that will help you save time and cash this year.

Victoria Secret semi-annual sale: Occurs twice a year (June and December), check their website for exact dates. Sales usually run for about two to four weeks. Sale items include bras, panties, sleepwear, lingerie, beauty products, and lotions.

Nordstrom Anniversary sale: Their best sale of the year. You can score the following season’s trends for up to 40 percent off. The sale usually starts med-July to the beginning of August. Nordstrom card members get to shop a week early.

Sephora VIP Rouge and VIP members sale: Usually around April, During this sale, you can purchase items at 15 percent off, however, you have to be a VIP Rouge or VIP member. For more information on how to become a VIP member, log on to https://www.sephora.com/loyalty-program. VIP Rouge members get to shop a few days earlier.

Holiday Sales: Most department stores offer yearly holiday sales for Valentine’s Day, Mother and Father’s Day, Memorial Day, back to school, etc. You can almost always find great deals for about a weekend prior to the holiday, and same day sale.

Department store sales: Macy’s, JCP, Lord and Taylor, Bloomingdales. They’re usually advertised heavily on social media and TV commercials but to get ahead of the game, sign up for their emails to get sales dates beforehand.

Off-price stores: Stores like Ross and Marshall’s which already offer discounted name-brand merchandise, makeup and beauty usually offer even greater savings after the holidays. Sales are advertised heavily via TV commercials and as with department stores, you can sign up for emails for even greater discounts.

Wild card: Costco, Target, Walmart. You can score big on wholesale and retail stores. Target is known for bringing in new brands that are great quality at a great price. Walmart could be hit and miss but you can’t beat deals on graphic tee shirts, cargo pants, hats, sweatpants, and basic shirts. Costco is also a place where you can score name brand items at discounted prices. I’ve scored several great pieces there like Adidas sneakers, Calvin Kline jeans, and cozy cardigans and coats. It’s also a great place to stock on basic items such as socks, underwear, pajamas, and basic camisoles.
